{"id":2307,"date":"2014-12-30T14:06:02","date_gmt":"2014-12-30T14:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journal.electric-rocket.com\/?p=2307"},"modified":"2015-01-02T14:06:45","modified_gmt":"2015-01-02T14:06:45","slug":"book-log-yes-please","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journal.electric-rocket.com\/?p=2307","title":{"rendered":"Book Log &#8211; Yes, Please"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Yes, Please<\/em> by Amy Poehler<\/p>\n<p>Who doesn&#8217;t love Amy Poehler?<\/p>\n<p>Seriously, who? \u00a0I will cut you.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s funny, she does one of the best female characters on television, she&#8217;s the brainchild behind the Smart Girls at the Party website (<a href=\"http:\/\/amysmartgirls.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/amysmartgirls.com\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Her book is a fine read. \u00a0She&#8217;s witty, and learning of her evolution to where she is now is a reasonably interesting story. \u00a0She has a good outlook on life, and its infectious.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps there wasn&#8217;t quite enough story to tell just yet, at her young age. \u00a0Or perhaps she could have fleshed it out a bit more. \u00a0Her years at SNL are told in little one or two sentence snippets; Perhaps if she&#8217;d told them as full stories with more detail, we could have gotten a more vivid impression of what it was like to be her in that famous writer&#8217;s room.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, I enjoyed the book. \u00a0After all&#8230; she&#8217;s Amy Freaking Poehler.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, Please by Amy Poehler Who doesn&#8217;t love Amy Poehler?
