And as a result, I have repurchased books I&#8217;ve already read.  Darn my memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this catchup, if I&#8217;ve read enough to have liked or loved the book, I&#8217;m adding links to the bookshop.org site where you can get them. Worth a read, and there are more books in the series if you take a hankerin&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/the-violinist-s-thumb-and-other-lost-tales-of-love-war-and-genius-as-written-by-our-genetic-code-sam-kean\/15549516?ean=9780316182331&amp;next=t&amp;next=t\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/the-violinist-s-thumb-and-other-lost-tales-of-love-war-and-genius-as-written-by-our-genetic-code-sam-kean\/15549516?ean=9780316182331&amp;next=t&amp;next=t\">The Violinist&#8217;s Thumb<\/a> by Sam Kean\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only read recently, and it goes on my favorite non-fiction list.  A hilarious tour through the story of DNA and the people who introduced us to it.  Absolutely fascinating facts on every page&#8211; constantly changed my perception of what humans are. Very engaging page turner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Red Rising (Book 1)<\/em> by Pierce Brown [ebook]\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ok science fiction.  I struggled to Suspend my Disbelief and accept the world building.  But if you like the Hunger Games genre of young people battling each other for survival in artficial circumstances, you&#8217;ll dig this.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/the-wager-a-tale-of-shipwreck-mutiny-and-murder-david-grann\/18732445?ean=9780385534260&amp;next=t&amp;next=t\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/the-wager-a-tale-of-shipwreck-mutiny-and-murder-david-grann\/18732445?ean=9780385534260&amp;next=t&amp;next=t\">The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder<\/a> by David Grann [ebook]\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Riveting true story of a 1740&#8217;s doomed voyage.  A view into a very different world that I am not at all disappointed to have left behind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>It Ends with Us: A Novel<\/em> by Colleen Hoover [ebook]\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meh.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Cursed: Alex Verus, Book 2<\/em> by Benedict Jacka [audiobook]\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>These are okay magic\/urban fantasy books. Super enjoyable, makes a topic I was lukewarm about at best and draws me in hook, line and sinker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/the-bee-sting-paul-murray\/18789047?ean=9780374600303&amp;next=t&amp;next=t\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/the-bee-sting-paul-murray\/18789047?ean=9780374600303&amp;next=t&amp;next=t\">The Bee Sting: A Novel<\/a> by Paul Murray\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A coworker described it as the best book he&#8217;s ever read.  He&#8217;s not wrong.
