{"id":551,"date":"2006-08-03T10:08:00","date_gmt":"2006-08-03T10:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journal.electric-rocket.com\/?p=551"},"modified":"2006-08-03T10:08:00","modified_gmt":"2006-08-03T10:08:00","slug":"electronic-paper-is-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journal.electric-rocket.com\/?p=551","title":{"rendered":"Electronic Paper is Here"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had been waiting for it, and it happened when I wasn&#8217;t paying attention.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.irexshop.com\/images\/iliad.png\"><\/p>\n<p>This product is built using high-resolution <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eink.com\/index.html\">e-ink<\/a>, which is a technology that is basically paper coated with a special ink that can be turned on and off.<\/p>\n<p>This is actually an explosive technology to my way of thinking&#8230; I&#8217;m surprised I haven&#8217;t heard more about it in the news.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from creating superior displays (low power, as readable as regular paper), consider that you can create sheets of paper that can be run through a printer, and then <i>re-run<\/i> through a printer, and  <i>re-run<\/i>, and so on, each time showing no evidence of the previous print.
