The RepRap is really cool.
It’s a plastic part fabrication machine that is capable of making 60% of the parts necessary to build a copy of itself. The initial design “Darwin” can be build for less than 500 Euro.
If I had loads of free time, I would totally build one of these.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea to have machines that can replicate themselves. Next thing you know, they’ll become sentient and start enslaving us.
