And it is much harder to create one. The dvorak is designed to make you alternate keystrokes left to right.
(Actually I don’t use one of these at the moment. But I have in the past and will again in the future.)

With all the vowels shuffled off to the left hand side, it would be extremely difficult to do a right side qwerd.
