Your in the Briarcliff arae right? Not sure of your final destination, but I use to make the ugly commute from Decatur to Sandy Springs and usually found Clairmont to Peachtree Industrial and then a quick left and right onto Johnson Ferry (or is it mt. Vernon right there?) a pretty good shortcut.
I work on Mansell road off of 400, and yeah, I live in the Briarcliff area, between Shallowford and Clairmont.
I take that shortcut when I’m going to GA Shakes from work, only I take Peachtree Dunwoody to Windsor parkway, which dumps out on Ashford -Dunwoody right by Peachtree Industrial. I find that’s a bit faster due to traffic on Johnson Ferry.
But total trip time to home using that round is more like 45-50. So it’s still faster to do 85 to 400, except it costs $0.50. But I happily pay $0.50 to get 20 minutes of my life back a day.
But that is $0.50 that you are not spending on Roan. Can your child afford that? Shouldn’t you be putting that in his college fund? $0.50/day for 18 years would probably keep him in space pot all through his freshman year and into his sophomore.

See now, if you give a man some money for space pot, he’ll smoke for a year and a half, but if you teach a man to grow space pot, he’ll smoke for the rest of his life.
That’s my cheap-ass liberal dad strategy, anyway.
