The power went out in our house sometime before midnight. It still wasn’t on when we left. 1/2 an inch of snow and the place goes to hell. That’s Atlanta.
I agree about the political cartoon. It got wide distribution in various blogs online, too. I’ve seen it at least twice posted elsewhere.
My power went out around 11:30, too. I have 3 flashlights with no working batteries in a drawer next to my bad and several candles, without any source of fire. I had to stumble around the house in the dark to find the lighter. Every time I went into a new room, I’d absent-mindedly flip the lightswitch. I would’ve failed disaster preparedness.
