I’ve been assembling a subscriptions wish list…
Skeptical Inquirer $20/year
Entrepreneur Magazine $16/year
Atlanta Business Chronicle $87/year
I also have a predilection for essays. (I love the Best American Essays and Best American Nonrequired Reading series.)
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a periodical dedicated to essays?
Also, what are your favorite/desired subscriptions?
I’ve been a Skeptical Inquirer subscriber for over ten years.
I doubt that. Prove it.
See? I’m a natural for that magazine.
Hello, I’m your friendly new virtual neighbor.
A science mag called SPECTRUM was delivered to me by mistake recently, bringing to my attention the fact that I could use some education in that area to which I’ve paid zero attention since dropping out of higher education.
It also drove further home how mediocre television seems to be. I’d been privy a few weeks before to the plots of an upcoming allegedly science-based TV show, which had a very high b.s. content. This one issue of a monthly magazine alone contained enough ideas to fuel half a season of said show if anyone had given a damn and gone looking. Oh well.
Life is an overall pleasant affair nonetheless.

I believe SPECTRUM is the IEEE (Institute pf Electrical and Electronic Engineers) trade mag. I used to get it for free when I was a member in college. It was pretty cool.
But they don’t have anything about tachyon emissions, and where would Star Trek be without tachyon emissions?
Not speeding backwards in time?
