Posted on January 21, 2007 by electricrocket

…Movie Soundtrack of all time is The Commitments, Volume 2.

Followed closely by Volume 1.

That is all.

I love volume 1. I’ve never heard volume 2. I had no idea I was missing the best sountrack of all time. Shoot.

Honestly, if I had been listening to Volume 1, at the time, I probably would have said that was the best soundtrack of all time, followed closely by Volume 2. I’m a flibbertygibbit that way.

Especially since Volume 1 has The Dark End of the Street, if I remember correctly. I have to find my Volume 1, and soon.

      Ah, yes… here’s volume 1 & 2:

      Volume 1
      1. Mustang Sally
      2. Take Me To The River
      3. Chain Of Fools
      4. The Dark End Of The Street
      5. Destination Anywhere
      6. I Can’t Stand The Rain
      7. Try A Little Tenderness
      8. Treat Her Right
      9. Do Right Woman Do Right Man
      10. Mr Pitiful
      11. I Never Loved A Man
      12. In The Midnight Hour
      13. Bye Bye Baby
      14. Slip Away

      Volume 2
      1. Hard To Handle
      2. Grits Ain’t Groceries
      3. I Thank You
      4. That’s The Way Love Is
      5. Show Me
      6. Saved
      7. Too Many Fish In The Sea
      8. Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa (Sad Song)
      9. Land Of A Thousand Dances
      10. Nowhere To Run
      11. Bring It On Home To Me

Okay. That’s a tough call. Volume 1 has The Dark End Of The Street and Can’t Stand the Rain and oh, so much. Volume 2 has Hard to Handle and Show Me…

Eh, together, they make the best movie soundtrack of all time.

I can attest that Vol. 1 has On the Dark End of the Street since it’s my favorite track.

Now I need Vol. 2. How do people even buy complete CDs anymore? iTunes has me all confused.
