It’s been shown that Garfield is funnier if we can’t hear what Garfield is thinking.
But via The Comics Curmudgeon, I have seen the way that Garfield can become the ultimate strip… by removing Garfield.

I wasn’t so entertained by the strips sans Garfield (how’s that for a straight line?), but the one with out his “commentary” was actually very entertaining — much like living with a real cat.
I loved that first set. Funny stuff.
